In the gospel of Mark, Peter called Jesus the Christ. The gospel offered us an outline of what’s to come in Jesus’ remaining days on earth. One of this things that caught me was the end of the gospel, “You are thinking not as God does, but as human beings do.” This got me thinking because how can we as sinners have the right to even begin to think like God. How do you think like someone who created the way of thinking?
I could be that guy and say, our motive to think is our belief that god gives us an idea, but is that really the case? In the end of the day, we can write down all of our accomplishments, we could set for positive plans, but when we look in the mirror, we are nothing but sinful human beings. God calls us to be Holy or set apart. God wants to us get out of the way we think and think beyond what we think our capabilities can take us.
Somewhere along the lines, human thought became thoughts that are influenced by other people. We’re not even thinking for ourselves anymore. God did not give us the gift of thought with the intent of thinking like anyone else, even God himself. He gave us the gift of thought to think for ourselves and to know the difference between what pleases the father and what upsets the father.
I’ll end with this:
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change, the courage to change the things I can, and the knowledge to know the difference.

When Jesus and his disciples arrived at Bethsaida,
people brought to him a blind man and begged Jesus to touch him.
He took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village.
Putting spittle on his eyes he laid his hands on the man and asked,
“Do you see anything?”
Looking up the man replied, “I see people looking like trees and walking.”
Then he laid hands on the man’s eyes a second time and he saw clearly;
his sight was restored and he could see everything distinctly.
Then he sent him home and said, “Do not even go into the village.”
Mark 8:22-26
The gospel for weds, was all about the healing of the blind man. Jesus took a man who was blind and after a touch, his eyes was restored. We should ask Jesus to heal our sight because I consider this generation.. a blind one. There’s a genocide and we don’t even see it. There is injustice and we’re too blind to notice. A lot of Catholics are so modern that the ideal of the traditional Catholic Church is becoming more and more abandoned. We’re not conforming to liberation of ones self, we’re starting to revert back to bohemianism…. but bohemianism that is mainstream. what does that mean… we’re living in straight up contradiction. We allow ourselves to be hung on strings and the powerful leaders of America are controlling us.
If we don’t allow God to open our eyes…. then we could forget about the right to be free. Freedom will just be another pretty word that makes us conform to what other people want.

I remember back in high school, there was a mock presidential debate and the topic was abortion. The argument that the democratic side stood by was the fact that women are allowed to do whatever they want their bodies. The republican rebutted by saying, if that were the case, then why is prostitution illegal?
Congress does not know how to make up their minds. They are the image of hypocrisy. They want your money to fund for abortion not because they stand by what they believe in, they want to pay for the debt that they owe. Youth open your eyes to the fact that you are living in a world where the hierarchy will do anything to gain your favor. Live by the truth.
